“We will hear a very good news from him very soon. He is a very different types of player, no wonder Read Madrid wanted him so bad”-Erik ten Hag provides Leny Yoro update and makes bold prediction about injured Man Utd defender. “My surprise is that he is only 18 years old but….🥶🔥

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has expressed great admiration for the club’s new summer acquisition, Leny Yoro, describing him as “one of the most promising talents in European football.” This praise comes as the young defender, just 18 years old, is working to recover from a recent injury.

Yoro joined Manchester United from Lille during the summer transfer window, following a standout season in France’s Ligue 1. He gained significant attention for completing 1,727 passes, a record-breaking number for a teenager across Europe’s top five leagues during the 2023/24 season.

The transfer deal saw Yoro move to Old Trafford for an initial sum of £52.2 million. He wasted no time in making his presence felt, delivering an impressive debut performance during a pre-season match against Rangers at Murrayfield Stadium.

Unfortunately, Yoro’s progress hit a snag during Manchester United’s tour of the United States. In a friendly match against Arsenal, he sustained a fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his left foot, an injury that is expected to keep him out of action for around three months.

As a result, Yoro is likely to miss the first three matches of the Premier League season, including crucial fixtures against Fulham, Brighton, and Liverpool. If his recovery goes according to plan, he is anticipated to make his return to the pitch on September 14th, in a game against Southampton.

In a conversation with Sky Sports, Ten Hag praised Yoro’s attitude and resilience in the face of this challenge. He emphasized that Yoro’s maturity and strong character were key reasons behind United’s decision to sign him.

“One of the main factors we considered when bringing Leny to the club was his maturity and his formidable personality,” Ten Hag remarked. “Despite the setback, he’s managing his recovery with a positive mindset, staying focused on his rehabilitation. He’s got a fierce determination within him, and for someone so young, he’s incredibly mature. He’s clear about his goals, and I’m confident he’ll be back soon to contribute to the team’s success.”

In another interview with SuperSport, Ten Hag continued to emphasize Yoro’s potential and the bright future that lies ahead for the young defender.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have secured his signature,” Ten Hag said. “Leny is undoubtedly one of the brightest prospects in European football right now. He understands that there’s still much room for growth, and we’re fully committed to helping him reach his full potential. Our team has the right environment and expertise to support his ambitious goals.”

Yoro’s journey, despite the early challenges, is set to be one of the most closely watched as he strives to live up to his burgeoning reputation and help Manchester United in their quest for silverware.
