FEE AGREED: Man United agree deal to sign Brazilian midfielder after Ugarte’s deal is confirmed off

Manchester United are reportedly in the final stages of this transfer window to negotiate a deal for Fluminense’s standout player, Andre Trindade, according to TNT Sports Brazil.

Following a disappointing season last year, Manchester United have been working diligently during this summer’s transfer window to strengthen their squad in hopes of achieving better results this season.

So far, United have successfully signed Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui to fortify their defensive lineup, while adding Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna to boost their attacking options.

However, manager Erik ten Hag is still looking to add a new midfielder to the roster before the transfer deadline next week. While Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte is widely considered Ten Hag’s top choice, it’s now clear that United are exploring additional options.

According to TNT Sports, Manchester United have officially expressed interest in Andre and have already initiated talks with his representatives to explore the possibility of bringing him to Old Trafford.

The report also notes that Wolverhampton Wanderers are eyeing a move for Andre as well, adding competition to United’s pursuit of the 23-year-old.

Andre was heavily linked with a transfer to Liverpool last summer, but the Merseyside club ultimately chose to focus on other targets instead.

Andre is known for his technical skills, his ability to maintain possession under pressure, and his solid defensive contributions, making him an attractive prospect for any top club.

Reports suggest that Fluminense may be willing to part with Andre if they receive an offer in the region of £21 million. This makes him a more affordable option compared to PSG’s Ugarte, who is reportedly valued at around £51 million.

As the transfer window draws to a close, it will be intriguing to see if Manchester United decide to make a formal bid for Andre before the deadline.

In the meantime, Manchester United, fresh off a win against Fulham, are preparing to face Brighton and Hove Albion in their next Premier League match on Saturday lunchtime.
