VERY SAD Raheem Sterling news has been announced this evening before the International international BREAK and this may be the end of his career
Raheem Sterling, who has been struggling to find his place at Chelsea, has been advised by Gary Neville not to pursue moves to Manchester United or Arsenal.
Sterling, a former Manchester City star, has reportedly received clear signals from Chelsea’s new manager that he is no longer considered an essential part of the team and should consider moving to another club before the transfer window closes.
Despite these signals, Arsenal and Manchester United have emerged as potential destinations for the 29-year-old. However, Neville believes that Sterling would face significant challenges securing a regular spot in the starting lineup at either Old Trafford or the Emirates Stadium.
Neville expressed his admiration for Sterling, recalling their time working together. However, he questioned why Manchester United would prioritize signing Sterling at this moment, given the depth of talent they already have in similar positions. With players like Amad, Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho competing for spots, Neville feels that United should focus on maximizing the potential of these players rather than bringing in Sterling.
According to Neville, Sterling isn’t an urgent need for Manchester United right now. However, if United were to lose confidence in one of their current players, they might consider adding Sterling to the squad. For now, though, their priority should be to help their current wingers find form and make a significant impact on the team.
As for Arsenal, Neville pointed out that the club already has Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Martinelli who can operate on the left side of the attack, with Bukayo Saka being a consistent and dependable presence on the right. This makes it difficult to see where Sterling would fit in or how he would enhance their title ambitions.
Neville also acknowledged that Chelsea’s eagerness to offload Sterling is understandable, especially considering the recent developments at the club. However, he doesn’t believe that a move to either Manchester United or Arsenal would be the best step for Sterling at this stage of his career.
