Barcelona reportedly working on new deal to make Raphinha one of the top earners

Raphinha is currently experiencing his most successful season since joining Barcelona, demonstrating his true value under the management of Hansi Flick. This comes after a period of uncertainty last summer when he was at risk of losing his spot in the team. At the time, the club had been seriously considering signing Nico Williams to strengthen their squad. However, when that transfer ultimately did not materialize, the Brazilian winger capitalized on the opportunity and has since established himself as an essential figure in Barcelona’s starting lineup.

According to reports from Sport, Barcelona is now taking steps to secure Raphinha’s long-term future at the club by preparing a contract extension for him. The club’s sporting director, Deco, is currently working on a proposal that would not only extend his stay but also offer him a significant salary increase, ensuring that he becomes one of the highest-paid players in the squad. In addition to this, the club intends to restructure his contract by converting some of his performance-based incentives into fixed, guaranteed earnings, providing him with greater financial security.

Although Raphinha’s current contract is already set to run until 2027, Barcelona is eager to extend his deal for an additional two years, which would keep him at the club until 2029. This move is aimed at securing his presence in the team for the foreseeable future, reflecting the club’s belief in his importance.

It is worth noting that last summer, Al Hilal, a wealthy club from Saudi Arabia, attempted to lure Raphinha away from Barcelona with a massive €100 million transfer offer. They also presented him with a highly lucrative personal contract, promising him a €15 million net salary per year. Despite the financial appeal of the deal, Raphinha ultimately turned it down, choosing instead to remain committed to Barcelona and fight for his place in the team.

Chelsea Target Gavi with a €60 Million Bid

In a separate development, Chelsea is reportedly preparing a €60 million bid to sign Gavi, one of Barcelona’s most promising young midfielders. The talented Spaniard is widely regarded as a future star for both club and country, but Barcelona’s ongoing financial struggles could put them in a difficult position if a formal offer is submitted.

With these two major decisions looming—Raphinha’s contract renewal and Chelsea’s potential bid for Gavi—Barcelona fans will be watching closely to see how the club navigates these situations in the coming months.
