Fans urge Bruno Fernandes to ‘DELETE’ post after commenting on Jadon Sancho’s Instagram pic after stunning Chelsea debut

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, recently responded to an Instagram post made by Jadon Sancho, who celebrated his Man of the Match performance during his debut for Chelsea against Bournemouth. Sancho, currently on loan from United, came on at halftime, replacing Pedro Neto, and played a significant role on the left wing, assisting Christopher Nkunku’s winning goal.

In his Instagram post, Sancho expressed his excitement, writing, “Delighted to make my @chelseafc debut, and to top it off with a win.” Fernandes, having led Sancho during their time together at Manchester United, left a supportive comment that read, “Some player you 🔥 keep that smile.”

However, Fernandes’ supportive comment was met with mixed reactions from fans, with some criticizing his response. One fan bluntly commented, “Be serious, Bruno,” while another urged him to “Delete.” Other remarks ranged from “You having a laugh Bruno?!!!” to, “Some captain you are 😂 Roy Keane would have dragged you out by the scruff of your shirt.” Another fan noted, “He disrespected the club and fans you play for,” suggesting that Fernandes should be more mindful of his public statements.

On the flip side, Fernandes also found defenders among the fans. One supporter commented, “He is praising his friend..? This is the problem with this world,” pointing out that Fernandes was simply showing support for a former teammate.

While this conversation unfolded online, Fernandes was busy on the field, contributing an assist in Manchester United’s 3-0 victory over Southampton. At the same time, Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, took the opportunity to subtly critique United’s head coach, Erik Ten Hag, over his handling of Sancho. Sancho had been sidelined at United following a public disagreement with Ten Hag regarding the player’s training efforts. Maresca commented, “I feel Jadon is a player who needs support. This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us. He has the desire to prove himself, but the key is to enjoy football. When they are happy and enjoying the game, they perform well.”

Looking ahead, Chelsea is set to face West Ham in their next fixture, while Manchester United prepares to take on Crystal Palace.
